Osprey

What better way of starting a new blog than with a pic of an osprey (Fischadler)?
Even if it is just out of a cheap kinda waterproof cam with a slightly scratched lens and therefore quite pixely. It was the beginning of the winter season, Oct. 4th. The bird was sitting near the Shatty corniche almost in the middle of the day. Not too many people around but still a rather busy area. I passed by in a car while I saw something sitting on the fence. It took me a while to realize that this didn't look like a seagull, I would have expected to see there.
The bird didn't seem to be bothered by me walking straight up to it and taking pictures. Maybe it just had arrived in Oman after it's migration?
